ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTED TO BOXING TASMANIA INC.

Boxing Tasmania’s Committee of Management is unable to administer the association as its members, in common with all Boxing Tasmania’s other members, are not ‘financial’ members of the association.

The duties of Mr. Adams are to:

• Establish a register of financial members of the association and having done so,
• Call an Annual General Meeting at which a new Committee of Management can be elected.

It is anticipated it will take Mr. Adams approximately 10 weeks to complete these tasks, upon which, he will cease to be the Administrator of Boxing Tasmania and management of the association will be taken over by the newly elected Committee of Management.

In his capacity as Administrator of Boxing Tasmania Mr. Adams has the powers of a Committee of Management of a Member Association of Boxing Australia.

Ted Tanner, President of Boxing Australia said “A cross-section of former ‘financial’ members of Boxing Tasmania have advised Boxing Australia they support Ray Adams’ appointment as Administrator because of his impartiality in regard to, and independence from, Tasmania boxing affairs and, also, because of his professional and personality attributes.

“On a per capita basis Tasmania is the most successful boxing State in Australia and I request all of Boxing Tasmania’s former and future members to assist Ray Adams in re-establishing Boxing Tasmania’s membership and the calling of its AGM so that our Sport can be up and developing again in Tasmania as soon as possible”.
